Installation

1. Remove the existing shower head from the shower arm.
2. Screw the hose bracket onto the shower arm.
3. Remove the paper seal from end of the shower filter handle.
4. Insertthe rubber washers into the couplers at each end of the shower hose.
5. Screw one end of the shower hose onto the hose bracket.
6. Screw the shower filter handle onto the other end of the shower hose.
7. Place the shower filter handle into the hose bracket.

Flush for a full five minutes before using (upon installation or after replacing the filter cartridge).

Operation

Before entering the shower:

1. Turn the shower water to the "full hot" position.
2. After hot water is flowing through the unit, cool to the desired temperature.

Maintenance

The hand-held shower filter can be easily maintained by performing the following procedures monthly (or as needed) in order to maximize filtration performance and water flow:

1. Unscrew the showerhead from the handle.
2. Remove the cartridge from the handle.
3. Reverse and reinsert the cartridge into the handle.
4. Screw the showerhead onto the handle.
5. This procedure may be repeated as necessary.

New Cartridge Replacement

The shower filter cartridge should be replaced every 6 months or sooner (according to individual water conditions) by performing the following procedures:

1. Unscrew showerhead from handle.
2. Remove used cartridge.
3. Remove paper seals at each end of the new cartridge.
4. Lubricate the O-rings at each end with a small amount of Vaseline.
5. Insert the cartridge into the handle.
6. Screw the showerhead onto the handle.
7. Flush for a full five minutes before using.
